The Two of Pentacles card from the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck

Pentacles

Two of Pentacles

juggling · balance · keeping it moving

Upright

Two coins moving in an endless figure of eight, ships heaving in the background. The Two is managing several things at once and just about succeeding: a dance rather than a problem, as long as nothing else gets added.

Reversed

Reversed, one has been dropped, or the juggle has quietly become the whole job. Something usually has to come off the list.

If this is your card this month

What could you take off your plate this month?

A card is a prompt rather than a forecast. It doesn't know what will happen, and the useful part is what you do with the question it hands you. We make that case at more length in not a prediction, a mirror.

Where this card came from

If Two of Pentacles arrived on a postcard, it was drawn for you for that full moon, and the reflection on the back was written from what it means. And if it didn't, well — that's the other thing we do here: a card and a reflection in your mailbox every full moon.
