Upright
Pick a direction and drive it. The Chariot is forward motion held together by will: two sphinxes pulling opposite ways, kept on course only because the driver won't let go. What it suggests is that progress here comes from commitment rather than from conditions improving on their own.
Reversed
Reversed, there's usually effort without much direction — spinning, or being pulled along by whichever want is shouting loudest. Sometimes it's the opposite, and the wheel is gripped so tightly that nothing can change course when it should.
